Went out to scout with my son a full month before eagles start coming in, and there is an eagle sitting in the tree. My son is hand holding a 400mm trying to get a pic!

Trail puts you out on the sandbars on the river. During eagle season, this can be a great spot.
Trail isn't really well marked. You can see bark that someone recently put down when I scouted the trail November 2010.
Go through the notch in the boulders to access the trail down to the river.
Pulled up to the large boulders that mark the pullout and beginning of the trailhead. Doin this in a passenger car is not recommended.
